Anyone who reads my blog regularly will know I ADORE Little Sparrow Cosmetics Lip Products, well, with the launch of the new website came a whole bunch of new products including a gel eyeliner. The full range of liners consists of 5 shades but for today I have “Midnight” to review.
The liners retail at $6.50 for a 5 gram jar. The jar is full and the product is weighty, so you actually get a lot more than 5 grams.
Our eyeliners are waterproof and long-lasting; makeup remover or oils will be required to remove it. And like other gel liners, it will dry out if the cap is left off for an extended period of time. The formula is a bit stiffer than most gel liners, and because of that the liners may settle and crack during shipment. These cracks are cosmetic blemishes only and do not affect the performance of your liner!
Midnight is the blackest of black eyeliner. The gel is incredibly smooth and applies smoothly. I swatched it on the back of my hand, one stroke in a straight (ish) line and squiggle to see how the product performed.
Coverage is incredibly even and there is little to no “tugging” as the product is not sticky. I wore this for the entire day and noticed something pretty awesome. It did not print onto my hoods. As the owner of 2 hooded eyes and a love of winged liner, I have suffered many a smudged wing and printed transfer as the day draws on. I did not need to set this eye liner with a powder and it did not budge all day. I should mention that it does dry quite fast so you should commit to the line, don’t fiddle around as once it is dry you basically need to remove it to redo it.
